The steps you need to take to reduce your risk of Covid-19 infection as recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Centre for Disease Control CDC are as follows:
-Avoid mass gatherings and large events
-Avoid close contact with anyone who is sick or has Covid-19 symptoms.
-Observe social distancing, stay at home as much as possible and a physical distance of about 6ft or 2m), most especially if you have a higher risk of serious illness.
-Wash your hands as often as possible with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser with alcohol content of at least 60%.
-Cover your face with a face mask in public spaces, e.g. when shopping and where it is difficult to avoid close contact with others.
-Use a tissue when you cough or cover your mouth and nose with your elbow. Discard the used tissue. Wash your hands immediately.
-Always avoid touching your eyes, mouth and nose.
-Stay away from work, school and public areas if you are sick or have symptoms, unless going to get medical care.
-When going out, avoid using public transportation, taxis and ride-sharing if you are sick.
